The Debate Over Continuing Class Boycott

"Resume Class? No Way!"

Most students ended their boycott of classes. Student leaders of the banned Autonomous Students' Federation held further meetings to discuss future strategies. However, disagreements among the student leaders led to students in Beijing University and Beijing Normal University continuing their class boycott.

A fifty member Students' Dialogue delegation was established to represent the Beijing students in future dialogues with the government.

In a change of policy, Chinese official newspapers offered much more coverage on the recent demonstrations in Beijing.
