Student representatives demanded to hold another dialogue with the government and expected a reply by 3pm on May 8th.
Students in Beijing University decided to continue the class boycott after a vote.
Journalists from Hong Kong and Bangkok issued letters in support of their counterpart in China, calling for freedom of press and for the authorities to guarantee the safety of the journalists who had participated in the movement.
