On the evening of June 6, 1989, a group of seven people, An Ji [see No. 25], Yang Ziming, Yang Ziping, Yang Yuemei (two brothers and a sister), Wang Zhengqiang and Wang Zhengsheng (two brothers) and Zhang Xuemei went to Fuxingmen and were ambushed by martial law troops at the intersection of Lishi Road. An Ji was killed on the scene. Yang Ziping and Wang Zhengsheng [see No. 39] died at Fuxing Hospital. Wang Zhengqiang and Yang Ziming were seriously injured. |

He was put on a flatbed tricycle by local residents and has not been seen since. |

At about 11:00 p.m. on June 3, 1989, he was hit by two bullets in the chest near the Fuxingmen Subway Station. The bullets went through his body and left a hole as big as a bowl in his back. He was taken on a flatbed tricycle to the municipal Children's Hospital where he died as a result of losing too much blood. On June 9, his body was taken to the Fuxing Hospital and left with other corpses in the bicycle shed. His body was located by his family on June 11. The Shijingshan spital issued a certificate of accidental death for him and held a memorial service. He was buried in Babaoshan Cemetery. |

At about 11:00 p.m. on June 3, 1989, Ni and six other young men left the Geology Hospital on their bicycles. At Xidan, he was shot in the chest and abdomen. He was taken by local residents to the Xuanwu Hospital and died there. In 1990, his work unit issued a certificate stating that he had died an "unnatural death," and adding that "he violated martial law and should be responsible for the consequences." His family was paid 835 yuan-an amount equal to his basic wage for ten months. Two of Ni's companions-Cao Changren and Wang Jianwei-were injured in the incident. |

On the evening of June 3, 1989, Song was resting at home in Muxidi when he heard gunfire and went to close the windows. He was shot through the stomach, and was taken to hospital. However, the army supervisor at the hospital would not allow any emergency treatment and ordered that there should not be any mention of a gunshot wound on the death certificate. He was buried in Babaoshan. His father later wrote a letter to the CCP Central Committee, lodging a complaint against the Public Security Bureau of Xicheng District and Premier Li Peng. He has never received a reply. |

Su was hit in the chest and died in the Beijing People's Hospital. She was married but had no children. |

At 7:00 p.m. on June 3, 1989, Cui left home to go to work. His shift was supposed to end at 2:00 a.m., but his family waited for two days, and he still did not return. When his family went to look for him at the factory, they learned that on the night of June 3, after arriving at the factory, three people rode their bicycles toward Chang'an Boulevard. Then one went east, one went south and Cui went west. Gunshots were heard, and Cui never returned. The two others returned to their homes safely. Cui's family searched many hospitals but found no trace of him. To this day, he has not been seen, either dead or alive. |
