III. “Remember June 4th ” 20km Long Distance Run cum Family Walk On April 26th 1989, the People's Daily published an editorial titled “Uphold the flag to unambiguously oppose any turmoil”, slandering the patriotic student movement as a turmoil instigated by an “extremely small handful of opportunists” and certain “illegal organisations” in the universities, aggravating the hostilities between the government and the people.
